Eruca sativa
Rocket is grown for its distinctively bitter leaves which add bite to salads or cooked dishes. Rocket grown in cooler climates, or leaves harvested when young have less of a bitter edge and more sweetness. This annual is frost hardy and a popular winter green, but will grow as an annual year round. Rocket prefers good drainage and fertile soil for best flavour and productivity.
